Selle aasta oktoobris saab toimuma nii mõndagi põnevat.
Nimelt on Noored Kooli 2. lennu osaleja ja Forseliuse Gümnaasiumi õpetaja Lauri Tankler ning Alo Lõoke Tartu Ülikoolist algatamas Hea õpetaja kuu traditsiooni.
Hea õpetaja kuu eesmärk on väärtustada õpetajaid, tõsta õpetajate mainet ühiskonnas, edendada õpetajaharidust ja tuua rohkem helgeid päid õpetajaks õppima. Samuti soovitakse tekitada ühiskonnas diskussiooni küsimuse üle, milline on hea õpetaja, millised omadused teevad õpetaja “heaks”. Kuu on täis erinevaid tegemisi, mis pakuvad osalemisvõimalust kogu Eesti rahvale: õpilastele, õpetajatele, lastevanematele, üliõpilastele.
Ettevalmistused on täies hoos. Näiteks tegelesid Lauri ja Alo nädalavahetusel koos tublide vabatahtlikega sellega, et valmistasid ette Hea õpetaja kuu materjalid kõigile algatuses osalevatele koolidele.
President Ilvese ja Noored Kooli sihtasutuse algatus “Tagasi kooli” nädal toimub sel sügisel samuti Hea õpetaja kuul: 19.-23. oktoobril. Sel nädalal kutsume tegusaid kodanikke, lapsevanemaid, vilistlasi ja üliõpilasi kooli, et anda seal (vähemalt) üks tund.
Külalisõpetajate tunnid võimaldavad muuta koolielu mitmekesisemaks, vahendades õpilastele praktilisi teadmisi ja kogemusi eri eluvaldkondadest. Lisaks annab “Tagasi kooli” hea võimaluse kohtumisteks õpetajate ja koolijuhtidega. Just sellest võivad alguse saada mõtted järgmiste sammude jaoks – kuidas aidata kaasa Eesti hariduse edenemisele ka pikemas perspektiivis.
